Elmer

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Elmer Davidson, age 99 passed away this morning at 6:30 am.

Elmer had been falling frequently, but May 23, he fell 3 times in a 24 hour period and this time, very serious injuries. He broke his humoral head from the humoral bone, broke the humoral bone in a 2nd place that dislocated his entire right shoulder. Due to his age and condition, surgery was not an option.  He spent 5 days in  Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas and was then moved to The Plaza Edgemere Skilled Nursing. (He’s  lived in Memory Care at The Plaza for almost 3 years.) After 3 days, he was placed on Hospice to make him comfortable but today The Lord called him.

I am making arrangements for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service in Grand Prairie. Elmer will be buried at the National Cemetery. Due to the Covid backlog, the first available is June 21, 2022 at 10 am. Following will be the Memorial Service at the Veteran’s Park Event Center in Grand Prairie on Conover Drive. After the ceremony will be a luncheon. I am still working out details, time of the Memorial Service  trying for a Noon start with 1 pm lunch—but I will have to confirm and get back to you,  as the Noon start may not work out.

Would it be possible for you to tell me how to notify the Rock Creek membership? I’d like to let them know and invite them to the service.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Regards,

Susan Bee (Elmer’s daughter)
